Okay, wanna know why rosatrice theory doesn’t even work?
Putting under readmore for pretty big spoilers
Hello, I’ve recently just read up on the Umineko VNs and watched the KNM videos upon recommendation of a friend. I don’t consider myself a believer of either theory, hoping I could find a third truth, because I believe that anything can be made into the truth if one just tries hard enough. I’ve never been in a discussion on Umineko before, but I feel like it’ll be fun. Basically, I’m just making this argument in hopes that we can both have fun in it. Alright, here we go!!!
First Twilight. The identities of all unidentified corpses are guaranteed. Nowhere in this statement does it say all six bodies in the shed are corpses. Although it is impossible to have another corpse act as a body double (which was Battler’s theory), it does not deny the possibility of a non-body double person pretending to be dead.
After the shed was locked, Rosa could have escaped through the window. Rosa could’ve broke the shutter with a tool in the shed. Rosa, according to KNM’s theory, being the true head of the Ushiromiya family, ordered Genji only pretend to lock the shed. The anime or manga might not count, but I think the shed window was depicted to be big enough to crawl through. I gotta admit, you’re gonna have to break the glass and all that. However, nobody came back to the shed, so if Rosa even took a tool in the shed and broke the shutter itself, no one would have noticed.
With Rosa freed from the shed, George and Nanjo are now not necessitated to commit all the murders without her.
It was stated in red that Nanjo is not a killer. This is true. Nanjo is not a killer. Nanjo is an accomplice, but he has never killed anyone in any of the stories. He doesn’t have to kill anyone for the Rosatrice theory to work. He could have helped Rosa and George through any other means as long as it is not considered killing. Already, by giving false autopsies, he is being all the help he needs to be.
With Rosa freed from the shed, the death of Genji, Kumasawa, and Nanjo can be explained.
It was said in red, Kanon didn’t die in an accident, didn’t commit suicide, and couldn’t have been killed. The solution is that it was never stated in red that Kanon died. He did not die until the bomb exploded. Rosa may have tried to kill Kanon, but was unsuccessful. Nanjo lied that Kanon is dead. Nanjo is not a killer, so Kanon was left alive as is.
I look forwards to your response! And I don’t mean any hostility. I’ve seen a LOT of hostility among fans from my brief google search on “rosatrice” (with no capitals). I presume there is some hate between the two sides. I just wish to have fun. I always thought those games in Umineko would be so much fun to play with friends and such. This is kinda my first go at this.
